Some months ago I met Jo Rowling and told her some news. I told her I was planning to walk the route of the Hogwarts Express, which is almost 500 miles long, from London to Scotland. This was her face when I told her. She said it was fantastic and that she wanted photos and news afterwards to see how I get on.
This walk is going to take me about 4 weeks to complete, and I start on the 12 August this year. I also have a lot of health problems which has added some time onto this walk, but I’m really determined to finish it. I have since written to Jo, and she has replied to say she admires my determination and wishes me luck, and that just makes me more headstrong that I can do it.
And you can all help with this. I’m doing this walk not just for my own personal reasons, but also to raise money for 2 of Jos charities. If you have anything at all that you can donate, it would be appreciated probably 1000% more than you expect. I’m raising for 2 charities so have a donation page for each one, so you can either pick a charity or split the money between the 2.

Or here to donate to the Anne Rowling Regenerative Clinic.
Thank you so much for being lovely and reading all of this. And if you are feeling especially kind, please reblog this to spread the news, it would be a huge help! And if anyone wants to take part in any of the walk, even for just one mile, then please feel free to message me on here. I can let you know what date I’ll be in each city, so you know when I’ll be near you.
I finished this walk now. I walked almost 500 miles in 28 days, and it was awesome and painful and almost almost impossible but not quite. Mostly it was brilliant, and one of the best experiences of my life. I will hopefully be sending my letter to Jo tomorrow, but I have already received a text from her offices to congratulate me. You can still donate money for this walk, so please do if you can. It was the most difficult thing ever.
